Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra – Drive to Phuentsholing (Approx. 4 hrs.)

Your journey begins with your arrival at Bagdogra Airport in India, where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. From there, enjoy a scenic drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway town located at the Bhutan–India border. The route passes through lush greenery and charming landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax after the journey. In the evening, you may explore the local markets or simply unwind at the hotel. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2 Phuentsholing – Drive to Thimphu (Approx. 5 hrs.)

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities required to enter Bhutan. Begin a beautiful mountain drive towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Along the way, visit the serene Kharbandi Gompa, which offers stunning views of the surrounding plains. You will also stop at the picturesque Chhukha Waterfall for a refreshing photo break. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in at your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Thimphu with your guide. Visit the sacred Memorial Chorten, built in honor of Bhutan’s third king. Continue to the impressive Buddha Dordenma, which overlooks the valley and offers breathtaking views. Explore Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan Museum and visit the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal. Later, enjoy panoramic city views from Sangaygang View Point and browse local crafts at the Handicraft Market. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 4 Thimphu – Drive to Punakha (Approx. 2 hrs. | Altitude 1,350 m)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Punakha, passing through the famous Dochula Pass at an altitude of 3,150 meters. From here, enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks and admire the beautiful 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens. Upon arrival in Punakha, check in at your hotel and later visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of the most stunning examples of Bhutanese architecture. You will also walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest bridges in Bhutan. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 5 Punakha – Drive to Paro (Approx. 3 hrs.)

After breakfast, begin your drive towards the picturesque valley of Paro. On the way, stop at Saba River Point for scenic views and photo opportunities. Upon arrival in Paro, check in at your hotel. Later, visit the historic Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery that showcases traditional Bhutanese architecture. You will also explore the National Museum of Bhutan, which houses fascinating artifacts representing Bhutan’s rich history and culture. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6 Paro Excursion – Taktsang Monastery Hike or Chele La Pass Drive

After breakfast, you have the option to hike to the famous Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. This iconic monastery is perched dramatically on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro Valley and offers breathtaking views. The round-trip hike takes approximately five hours and is one of Bhutan’s most memorable experiences. Alternatively, you may choose a scenic drive to the high-altitude Chele La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan, offering stunning views of the Himalayan ranges and Haa Valley. Spend the evening exploring Paro town or relaxing at your hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 7 Paro – Drive to Phuentsholing (Approx. 5 hrs.)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your return journey to Phuentsholing. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and experience the National Dress Trail while also viewing the unique Paro International Airport from a distance. Upon arrival in Phuentsholing, check in at your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 8 Phuentsholing – Drive to Bagdogra (Approx. 4 hrs.) – Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your drive back to Bagdogra Airport. Enjoy the final scenic views along the journey.
